We are doing a Giving Thanks scroll saw challenge over at Scroll Saw Village for the month of November. So I made this word art project inspired by scripture. From 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “In all things, give thanks...” Even outside of the Thanksgiving holiday, I think it’s a lovely reminder to be grateful for the things we have.
Since I wanted to make this into a gift, I stack cut the design for multiple copies. I did one in 1/4″ Baltic Birch plywood, and the other in 1/8″ plywood. I taped them together so the wood wouldn’t shift during cutting. I worked on the small letters first, before moving onto the larger holes. I finished with a simple acrylic spray topcoat.
It measures about 11″x10″
